"Pete Hill is not to be numbered amongst the more communicative of our members ... "
However, perhaps we should remember "Spectemur Agendo ..." Ajax
Sometimes translated as "Judge us by our deeds".
Taken as the motto of The Royal Dragoons (Ist Dragoons) who captured one of Napolean's eagles at Waterloo.
Ajax, the Royals, ... Pete Hill.
Does anyone have any details of Oryx? Love to see some photos if anyone does make the launch.
Last I heard, Pete had given up catamarans as being too much maintenance, so intruiged and would love to hear his present views.
I hope he will be ready and attending the Plymouth Rally? Certainly more encouragement for me to make the long journey from Scotland.
I used to live in Millbrook, and still have friends living there. I have asked if somebody can attend and take a few pics for me. If they manage to do this I will post them on this site.
This is what Pete is building - but stretched out to 10 metres:
I don't know what design the sails are, but there's a mast in each hull, naturally.

I want one!
Can't wait to see what rig he has gone for.

Any members who would like to visit are most welcome and I hope there will be time at (or after) the Plymouth Rally for interested members to take a look at Oryx.
The rig will be a side by side split junk with flat sails and half wishbone battens (much help from Sleive on the shape of the sails).
I will download some pictures if I can work out how to do it.
