    Dear Pete

Good to see you are still inspiring us all and trying new ideas.  Are the pics, are these old ones?  I thought she was being launched last weekend!

    Regarding the sail.

I have had similar thoughts,  though with wishbones, a single bent batten never ocurred to me.  Perhaps more simple,  but would a wishbone not be stiffer for the same weight?  Also the shape of the jiblet would be supported by the wishbone.

The other interseting point is the downwards sloping yard,  what is the reasoning?  I would have thought it would be less stable when reefed righ down.

I will be in Plymouth  (actually Newton Ferrers, where my mother lives) the first week of july.  If family matters allow I would love to pop over.

    Cheers
