Some of you might know that nearly two years ago I was in Australia (Brisbane) and having got in touch with all the members there I managed to meet up and sail with Dieter and Garry Aro. It was fantastic not only because we went sailing on Dieter's catamaran three times but also because we stayed in touch. Dieter came to the AGM in New Zealand last year while Gary having sold his catamaran in Malaysia has bought a junk rig boat in New Zealand...

I will be in Brisbane from 1 - 8 May (visiting friends in Lota near Manly) and would love to meet up and ideally sail with some of you.

Are any of you free the weekend of 5/6 May to meet up in the Brisbane area for this?

I know that the distances are huge and getting there by boat is not a quick dash up/down the coast but I would love to meet you and to sail on your boats!

I look forward to hearing from you and hope to meet you while in Australia.

Dieter, Christine and a friend of mine drove from Brisbane today to visit Graham Cox in Mooloolaba. Although our meeting was brief the 3 hours drive was worth it. Graham is one of the most inspiring, energetic and positive people I've met recently. Graham having put two coats of antifouling was just applying finishing touches when we arrived.  I so very much hope that TOROA and ARION will be sailing in company soon.

I look forward to meeting Graham in some distant port one day soon!
