    Very interesting project, brilliant realisation!
It would fill with delight our fellow readers of Small Craft Advisor magazine. If your friend would contact them to present his boat, it could make a front page!

Entirely self designed and built at 8' by 4' her owner/builder Danny Smith describes her as "Basically a floating tent."

    He told me:
"I did a lot of research before I built her.
The boat & rig were designed together as an experiment & it all works very well.
Rigging it takes a while & you better not get lines tangled as the mast is stepped but once set up it is very easy to control.
It drove me nuts for a while until I re-cut the sail shape.
It has a down haul, topping lift, mast lift, tack/luff parrel & yard hauling parrel etc. 7 lines in total."

His plans are to explore the inland lakes and waterways around his home in Rio Vista near Sacramento, California with his new junk rigged mini-cruiser.
