    Stavanger, Wednesday

I bought Frøken Sørensen (Frøken = Miss), my "new" 6.5m Jollenkreuzer, last autumn and have during the spring made a new junk sail and rig for her. She was launched the 21. July. Today we had the sixth sail in her and this time I arranged with buddy Gøran to take a number of photos from the outside.

A couple of them can be seen in the photo gallery here. I have also uploaded as much as 13 photos with captions to my member’s photo album. Just start here and step your way through them.

Frøken Sørensen (FS from now on) has proved to be quite a joy machine. She is fast and manoeuvrable enough to be fun and is roomy and comfortable enough to take friends on day-trips as well. On her second sail she showed that she can also handle nasty wind conditions (we sailed most of the time only 3-up), so I am happy with her. I hope to write an article, hopefully short enough to be used in the magazine and, later, a more detailed (and boring) one which I will put among my files.

    Cheers, Arne

PS, 10.Aug: Here is a link to a short version photo write-up from the project. (..and here is part 2...)
