Its one of Dave Z's earlier designs, a predecessor of Wayward.

The top panel is described as "crab claw", and Dave refers to the "boards" as "off centre boards" since they are deployed to be used on both sides rather than just on the leeward side as with "lee boards". Lots of interesting things going on there.

Thanks for the link.... Interesting reading.   The concave leech is a bit counter intuitive, but lends it a very distinctive appearance.   I love his hands on can do approach... inspiring.

I just stumbled on this brief Utube from 2014f of what appears to be a very interesting junk rigged schooner sailing in Alaska.  A very Bolgeresque (can I claim credit for that word?) junk rigged dory called Slacktide. , a houseboat? with leeboards, and a very interesting sail plan.  A unique and interesting boat I'd like to know more about.  Here's the link.  I wonder if the builder or Utube author is a member here?

How do you describe that top panel?   "Inverted roach"?
