    Matt,

All the details required to work out your mast are in PJR or you can send me your info and I'll do it for you.

Pete Hill built it and Shirley Carter would know.

Both can be emailed directly from their member profiles.

Can anyone tell me the dimensions of Speedwell's mast?

Length, width at base and at the top, stave thickness?

How many layers of glass went on top of the wood?

I've read everything I can find on the JRA and on Shirley's blog, about how Pete Hill made the mast and tabernacle for you in South Africa.

I found Shirley's email address here on the JRA members' directory and emailed her. Alas, no reply. Maybe she's out there having too much fun.

I'm trying to decide on a mast for my Top Hat 25. If I can hire someone to make it for me I'll probably go for an eight stave, keel stepped mast. But if I have to make it myself I think I'll go for the slightly easier option of a rounded-square section mast like Speedwell's, and a tabernacle.
