    Aims
1 To produce a definitive list of boats and skippers/crew who have circumnavigated
2 To give them the respect they deserve
3 To produce an illustrated article for the Magazine and an easily-updated web page as an adjunct to our Hall of Fame feature.
4 To submit findings to sites that track such achievements.

    Skills
Research. Writing. Web page within Wild Apricot.

    Background
JRA magazines contain tales of people who have circumnavigated in junks. Web searches might turn up others. Project could be extended to include people who have made intercontinental cruises.

Christoph Swoboda and family, completed 1998 in Naga Pelangi.

See newsletter 42 page 31 for his article on building and circumnavigating in his first Malay Junk and the building of his second.  His excerpt is here

As part of our Hunting Junks quest, Rene and I hope to make contact with him when we reach LangKawi as that's where we understand he is based with his second junk Rainbow Dragon.

Hi Lesley. Thanks for those ideas and do turn them into links when you can so that members can explore them and perhaps volunteer to take this joblet on :-)
