Two days ago, I was at a reunion celebrating 55 years since my high school final exams, and it turned out that one of my classmates owned an original Chinese cormorant fishing boat.

He bought it 25 years ago for an exhibition of Chinese technology. He asked me if I wanted to buy it. He said it was a junk and that I would definitely need it ;-).

It would be interesting to know how many traditional junks still sail the world's waters. I suspect you could count them in your fingers.
