Sadly we are parting with a Tanton 43 in Mobile, AL due to being struck by lightning while offshore (NOT on this boat). It is still rigged as a wishbone boom cat ketch but is a super easy conversion. That was our last plan. Hong Kong sails has the sail patterns. Must go ASAP. Marina fees current, no liens, etc... Electric motor pushes boat at 6knots/30amps, and up to 8 knots around 60amps - in calm conditions. Variable pitch prop. We never regretted the conversion - just mind your tides and wind. If you wanted to go back to diesel Beta has a direct replacement for the original Perkins 4108. The USCG reg. is expired but we will send a notarized Bill of Sale and the most current USCG docs. Submit those and they will reinstate. We lived and sailed her for many years, raising two girls aboard. The boat was originally based out of the NYC when new. The second owner out of Galveston. I have not seen the boat since the injury occured in June of 2023 so assume a full refit. We had just started a refit (which also included the junk conversion) when all of this happened. Some of that included items like new cabin flooring which was not completed with a temp floor still in place. These are a few of the pics we took. She is super sea kindly.

We really want it to go to someone interested in converting her but if there are no takers in a few days she will donated. We cannot hold. MUST GO QUICK. If you going to work on her she can probbaly stay where she is, but if it will be awhile it must be moved. The marina does not like boats being unattended.

Sad days, but it happens. First come, wins :)

If you would like it and are 100% serious, email us with your mailing address to mail the documentation to and we will supply all other needed info - marina, etc. Note that there are 4 or 5 marinas and haulout yards within a mile or two.  Again, I have not seen the boat since the accident so info in limited. Assume full refit. The marina staff/owners are new and pretty nautically uninformed which isn't helpful.

Layout - King sized vberth with sink and hanging closet, main salon midship, after midships split down the middle - galley to one side, head and shower compartment to other. After double stateroom to port and pull single berth and nav table to starboard. Finally, access door to rudder room. Wheel steering with tiller backup. 2 lrg water tanks, hot water, 6ft long and probably three foot deep fridge/freezer, wood stove, and all the other standards. solid glass deck. Carbon Fiber Masts produced by the same company that made the Space Shuttle fuel tanks - neat trivia. Thee is also a Siren Marine monitoring systems for batts, bilge (others sensors can be added).
