Thanks for the heads-up Paul. I just gave myself an early Christmas present. (But the cost of getting it to and into NZ slightly more then doubled the cost. Ouch!)

There's also a copy of The Junkman Smiles for GBP 9.99 and I would have bought that too, but the seller won't ship to NZ

    Hey thanks Annie,

...I just googled it and it came up on ebay for £23.25 which I’ve duly ordered. I’ve been dipping into the e version in the JRA library periodically but it’s so much nicer to have a real book.

I have just been browsing through my latest copy of Marine Quarterly (a publication I highly recommend) and the book reviews include "Junks and Sampans", which has apparently been reprinted by Seaforth (UK) for £40.  As anyone who is sufficiently fortunate to own this book will tell you, you need the Real Thing fully to appreciate it.  Original copies are rare and expensive, so the republishing of this book is very good news indeed.  I put this on the General Forum rather than the Yacht Club Bar so that non members can hear about it, too.
