    Hello Stephen,

You might have a look at Whaleheart, a 15m Irish trawler, and compare notes with the owner, Randy.

    Hi

Firstly hello and thanks for accepting me into the association! i am very interested in converting an MFV and rigging it as a junk. Usually these vessels are rigged as Ketch or cutter Ketch I really liked the look of the traditional Lugger rigs with their unstayed masts which has then led me on to look at the Junk rig (Ketch Junk?). The purpose of the project is to join the growing movement hauling small break bulk cargo. The boat will be located in the Bristol channel possibly Sharpness ( near to home) but Swansea and Cardiff are options as well. Has anyone put a Junk rig on a vessel such as this and can anyone point me in the direction of sage advice when rigging a large and heavy vessel. Many thanks.
