Hi, new owner (keeper) of Mingming.
At present the port side only has the tail of the adjustable topping lift / lazy Jack.

i might utilise some other lines on this side, a ‘vang’ to move the boom forward when running to give better balance.  Perhaps a down haul, though this doesn’t seem necessary, it could help with fan-up prevention

I don’t know the official answer, but the cockpit set up can get quite cluttered if all lines lead back on one side.  And depending how you decide to set up the lazy jacks there may be at least one line that leads naturally along the port side.  If you have a running boom adjustment that’s another line that can come back on the port side.  So no harm to have the option.

    Hi Everyone.

I'm working on the deck layout of my boat, and in my study of MingMing 2 I noticed that Roger had the same set up of fairleads and pad eyes on both sides of the mast/deck, leading back to the cockpit, but with just the starboard one in use (most boats seem to just have one set on the starboard side). Was this for redundancy?
