Hi everyone,

I am starting to look at a Freedom 28 Cat Ketch  that I'm thinking about buying . It is a wishbone boom model and so far  , the original sails look in very rough condition. That makes no difference to me because I would obviously be buying her to do a conversion.  She's a centerboard version. I am seeing her in person next week , but so far , from pictures , the Carbon Fiber masts look to be in good shape ....and painted white. My questions for the group are:

1. aside from sails , boom , yard and battens , what else would the conversion entail? 

2. will a new masthead fitting need to be fabricated?

I've watched a bunch of Alanouwoly's videos on youtube and she has had some incredible adventures on pretty much the exact same boat.
