    Hello everyone,

After much thought and deliberation I've decided on building a boat. I've been surfing the web looking for designs that fit my parameters and the Pioneer 23 seems to check out. Just wondering what the more seasoned, book smart JRA memebers think of this boat, just a general impression and any concerns you may have would be most helpful. What I am looking for in a boat is something with a simple plywood construction, is capable of singles handed offshore/blue water passages, have enough space for stores for extended voyages and no longer than 25 feet. To me the Pioneer 23 is the perfect match. The only major concerns I have is I wonder how badly it will pound on rough seas and that there seems to be so little info to be had on them. I found a few very old threads on them but I didn't want to revive a zombie thread.

    So let's hear your thoughts!
