Thanks Ketil, a friend is coming around tomorrow to help me for the day.
 I hope at least to have the boat raised to the right height. Anything beyond that, like getting the keel onto the cradle would be a pleasant bonus.

My planned help has a new girlfriend and a few days with her in beach house wins out over moving 850 kgs of lead and timber I guess.
Anyway, the cradle apart from some trimming is finish and I started lift the boat higher today. Only 17 inches to go. Probably the slowest trip Redwing will make.

Nothing is happening at the moment because people keep waving money under my nose to do work for them. So though the cradle is not finished and the keel is not on, at least money is going into the the launch fund.
I did buy 6 metres of 304 SS 25mm tube the other day for the stanchions and unspecified projects.

Gary, too bad I don't live down the road. Soldering electronics, contacts and coax plugs is something I actually can  -  that was a part of my job for many years until other methods (pressed connections) gradually took over. Soldering is quite fun, almost as fun as sewing sails...

Finished painting the keel so as soon as I have the cradle assembled I can bolt it on. I've been putting off a few soldering jobs because it's not a skill I'm good at but I think it's time I practised.
