Dear All, thanks for the interest. The sad fact is that there is a very limited market for 40-y-o boats with problems, like Westerly Droop which it is not economic to fix, at least professionally even if you could find someone to do it. A number of Freedoms have recently been scrapped. You can't fight the market.
I have very recently become partially disabled and will never again be fit to single-hand a 33 footer. Last ten years have included 7 x Argyll to Orkney, with 4 on to Shetland and 5 times past Cape Wrath. Plus wee jaunts to N Ireland, IoM, Solway and Hebrides. Mostly spent c160 nights aboard each year and dropped anchor c100 times per season, part due to dog walks. I've had a good run and am delighted that a young Scottish family have come forward.
