Hi everyone. This is my first post, and first time on a forum of any kind.

I have broken a batten on one of my Sails and was wondering where I could buy either bamboo or aluminum replacements. My boat is currently in Spain, so not 100%sure about the length, diameter etc. (about 3m).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Mark,

Most large cities will have an aluminium stockholder where you can buy tubes, once you're clear on the sizes you need. You're looking for 6061 T6 or 6082 T6 specification. If you have aluminium battens already, you have something to copy, but if that's not possible, I'd shape up some wooden plugs for the ends. Then you have the options of screwing into them or making holes to pass lashings through them.
