Because my little boat is trailerable my mast comes down and the bundle is stowed on the cabin top after each sail. The only things I disconnect are the batten parrels. The existing HK parrels are fixed so need to be retied if not working properly. My theory is a running HK parrel which won’t encircle the mast would enable me to control those diagonal creases and then fold down easily at the end of the sail. Anyway a handful of tiny pulleys and a few metres of string will do the job, the joy of small boat sailing. I’ll report the result, Thankyou for you interest.
