    Bonjour

I've seen a few junk rigged boats during my last year road trip in Australia.

You may find some contacts on the "online membership directory" (members area - directories - membership list). Just search for Australia... There are email's contacts.

There is in Port Douglas (North of Cairns) a junk that is doing some day charter... I was surprised to sea her !

Hi, Robert.  I don't know of any JRA members who are sailing here at the moment.  Gary Pick is close to completing his rebuild in northern NSW.  I, unfortunately, currently don't have a junk rigged boat, to my distress, having made the mistake in 2019 of selling Arion instead of rebuilding the keel, as I should have.  I'm currently living on a bermudian sloop in Mooloolaba, happy to be afloat but have no desire to sail the boat.  There is a junk rigged Spray in Scarborough Marina, near Brisbane, that is for sale, not a JRA member as far as I know.  My last junk, Blue Moon, is also in Moreton Bay but I am not sure if the owner is a member, or if he takes the boat sailing.  Junk rigs seem thin on the ground in this part of the world. Too many conformists!

Just seeking advice from members about the best way to meet up with Junk Riggers?

I'm going to be down on the east coast of Australia between Christmas and mid-January and am very keen to see / crew on any Junk Rigged vessels while I'm down there.

I've been very interested in junk rig for a long time, my partner isn't so convinced, and I'd love to see them firsthand and hopefully go out for a sail.

Any suggestions about how to contact people would be most appreciated.
