Hi there, im in the build stage of a new vessel, abd am looking for where's best to buy a 5.5mtr carbon mast.

either

70mm diameter with a 3.5mm wall thickness or

80mm with a 3 mm wall thickness

Any help is appreciated.

I built and 80mmOd by 6m long mast by joining a 5m and 1m length together using a 2 m length of carbon tube as an insert with some epoxy. It has worked very well. The webpage for the UK supplier I used is no longer there but the insert tube came from these people in China and worked as advertised Carbon Fiber Tubes, Carbon Fiber Products - Carbon Fiber Star

Converting my Kingfisher 26 Antarse to junk rig, I found a carbon fibre spinnaker pole kept in storage as a spare in case the British team attempting to qualify for the America's Cup broke one. Cut down to size, it made a fine mast. Such strokes of luck aren't common, but it may be worth asking around.
