1986 Junk Rig Corribee for sale – Trivial Pursuit
I believe that this boat has had 3 owners. I bought her in North Wales 2 years ago and have had huge fun sailing her inland and offshore but a new posting to Asia means that it is time to move her on.
The hull is in great condition and no evidence of osmosis or impact damage. Repainted professionally in past 5Y I think.
The woodwork tells her age a bit – I have replaced the the grab rails (2015) in Holly and some of the wooden mounting pads. All revarnished this season.
I have also added 12v – 2x 30w solar panels (flexy, you can sit or kneel on them and the power output is more than adequate for the boat), controller, leisure battery and the following appliances:
Navigation lights
Cabin light
Depth Sounder
12v USB and cigar lighter outlet. Handy for charging phone, Ipad, VHF.
Whale bilge pump and transom outlet
Bow eye for trailer launch/recover.
The setup is basically one for coastal cruising. Two berth plus stowage space. I removed the original fitting washbasin to provide a new storage space for electronics etc.
The rig is standard Hasler and Macleod. The mast hinges from about 500mm above the cabin roof and is secured with a 25mm aluminium pin. I have replaced the pin this season and remounted the mast foot with 8mm SS machine screws as the original rivets were shot.
One sail in good condition and another with a few wear holes next to the mast. New ropes throughout, save sternsheets. Comes with RM trailer as new, lighting board, rear steadies and side steadies plus bow winch. I added all of the above last winter so most fittings as new. Canvas dodgers in good condition. Mooring strop new this season. Also new anchor warp and 8kg CQR anchor.
