I am on the verge of purchasing a Benford 34 "Badger."  On  the builder's blog site, there is a photo of the bottom showing an aileron forward of the keel, added says the blog site, for "stabilization."  What do any of you with experience of Badger 34s think of this idea?  Right now there is a rusted piece of metal where the airleron used to be, so I will have to either replace the missing aileron or just remove the metal and repair the bottom.  (I am attempting to contact the first owner, but he was elderly when he sold the boat some years back so I may not receive a reply from him.)
