Well, after what is approaching 4 years of constant (part time) work, we finally pulled Tapatya out of the boat shed. There are still a few 'minor' bits to make and fit, like masts and a keel (plus several more), but we're getting there, and she has daylight on her :-)

It's good to see a quality build progressing nicely like this.

A question - how do you plan to close the companionway? It looks trapezium shaped for conventional washboards; or is that a result of using a fisheye lens?

Well, the roll over went well - performed with the aid of a come along winch and a car jack. She's now back in her shed and the right way up. I'm working on the combings and coachroof sides now :-)

Hi Tony, great blog site. You are doing very well with your build. I am envious of your building shed. I have just recently begun construction of my new boat, a small cruising catamaran. At present I have a pile of completed bulkheads and two completed rudder blades. I am about to start setting the bulkheads up on the building frames so will soon have something which vaguely resembles a boat-like sculpture. But it is encouraging to follow the progress of other builders such as yourself and Annie Hill.
